CHEMISTRY 351/353 EXAMINATION PAPERS & SOLUTIONS

Examination papers from previous years....

Chem 351 and 353 examination papers where available are provided as .pdf files

Alternatively, try the Students Union copy center in MacEwan Hall  ( but they may not be up to date ! CARE !)

Worked solutions
to old examinations from Chem 351 and 353 are provided where available.
Solutions to older Chem 350 (which split into Chem 351 and 353 in the Fall '97) are also archived.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT for your learning process that you try to work the questions, really thinking about them first and not just reading the  answers.

Here are some links to advice on solving written answer problems, an area where students tend to perform more poorly.

Synthesis

Structure determination

If you think you have found a problem with an answer, please let me know, telling me which question you think is wrong e.g. Qu16 Nov MT1 05, what you think the answer is and why !
