The following set of problems provide spectral data (mass spectrum,
infra-red, 13C-nmr and H-nmr) for an unknown compound.
You are required to deduce the structure of the unknown compound that
is consistent with all the data provided.
Some "general" hints are available to encourage you to look for the
right information and to try to get you going. In addition, an online "tutor" will give you feedback
on any wrong answers you submit.
The problems start easy and get harder as you go.
When you think you know the answer to a question, draw the structure and press "submit answer".
Your answer and appropriate message will be displayed in the top right of the page. Previous answers and messages will be shifted down 1 position.
If you get an answer correct, you may move on to the next question. Otherwise, you will be informed of where you went wrong.
If after enough tries you haven't answered the question correctly, the solution will become available.
Feel free to use hints when availabe, but note that they lower your score, slightly.
