Troubleshooting

As of Jan 2012
, these nomenclature materials are known to work on both Mac and PC systems and with a variety of browsers. I'm a PC user myself and it runs on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox. I have spoken to Mac users running Safari and I've got it working on a text Mac in Safari and it works there.

Note that I am an organic chemist, so the amount of computer help I can give is limited. Since we know it works, if our tips don't help, try asking a computer geek to help you!

The most common problem is that the program jumps to the scorecard. This is usually resolved by reinstalling Java and making sure it is activated in your browser.

Sometimes after installing Java, you might need to restart your browser and / or computer.
If this does not work, check the Java settings in your browser.
If this doesn't work, test the drawing plugin by using the button below... if this works then the problem is probably with the Java, if the plugin does not work, then the problem is with the drawing tool.
If none of this works, then try a different browser.

On a Mac running Safari, I noticed that I need to activate the drawing program plugin, access the plugin to look for this is via the button below.

If there is a problem with scoring, then this might be caused by a security setting since the program uses "cookies" to calculate and track your score.

If you do not have JAVA already installed, then you should be able to download it for free from the linked Website.
