Structural Factors affecting Acidity : Inductive effects
Impact : small.... ΔpKa approx. 2 or 3 units / effect e.g. consider CH2ClCO2H (pKa = ??) vs CH3CO2H (pKa = 5)
ACIDITY : Look for factors that stabilise the conjugate base...we do this by simply removing the H+:
